Shelburne is a gem—just 7 miles south of Burlington and home to Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, Fiddlehead Brewery, Folino’s Pizza, and Shelburne Vineyards. Whether you’re here for lakeside strolls, farm-fresh food, or just a quiet getaway, you’ll find plenty to love.

Our one-bedroom retreat is as charming as it is cozy—clean, bright, and stocked with everything you need for a laid-back stay in the heart of Shelburne. This 580 sq. ft. lofted apartment is part of our home, but completely private. We host family and friends throughout the year, and when they’re not visiting, we keep it fully furnished and ready for guests like you! Downstairs, you’ll find an open-concept living space with hardwood floors, a bar-top counter with two stools for meals, and a comfy lounge area with a TV + Netflix & Hulu for unwinding after a day of exploring. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials—pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster oven, and more—so you can cook up your favorites with ease. Upstairs, the lofted bedroom features a queen bed and closet space for all your things. Heads up: the bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase—great for style points, but maybe not ideal for everyone. The bathroom is small but mighty—freshly updated and sparkling clean with everything you need. ✨ A little note on sound: Our home is steps from the train tracks, and while trains only pass 1-4 times a day and never at night, they are part of the Shelburne charm—just like the historic church bells that chime every hour (but give it a rest overnight!). Most guests don’t mind, and some even find it romantic. If you’re looking for a cozy, character-filled stay in the heart of Shelburne, you’ve found it!

Other Details to Note

Pets are welcome! There is a one time $50 cleaning fee for one pet and $60 for two(max). Kindly include the number of pets you will be bringing in your booking request. Please keep in mind this fee helps cover the extra cleaning needed after your stay. If there’s any damage to furniture or linens (like chewed-up couch corners, scratched wood, or mystery stains) we’ll reach out to let you know and raise an additional fee through the booking platform. Thanks for being mindful, we’re all about making this a welcoming space for both pets and people ❤️🐶🐱🛋️ Last but not least, we do ask that guests keep it low-key: no parties, please. This is a family home, and we like to keep things chill, respectful, and neighbor-friendly.

Incredible spot! Walking distance to lots of restaurants and little shops, very close to fun Shelbourne things like the farm and just a few minutes drive from Burlington. Very clean, comfy bed and space, well set up. Honestly, we weren't sure where we'd be exactly as this was a last minute booking, but we were delighted. As an apartment in an older home, just note that the AC struggles a bit on hot days, though in the end it was okay for us. Other than that, it was pretty perfect for two people.

Perfect little place for a couple! Cute, clean and in a great location walkable to everything. Nice to have our own place vs stay in a crowded family home. Will definitely stay again!

This was the perfect unit in the perfect location for my trip. The unique spiral staircase adds a special feel to the space. The temperature was very well controlled throughout the unit despite the cold weather outside. The bed in the upstairs loft was very comfortable, and there was plenty of room to unpack and hang cloths in the well designed closet space. The kitchen was clean and modern with all the necessary implements and full sized appliances. The bar and stools made for a perfect spot for me to set up a laptop and do some remote work, with plenty of electrical outlets available. The living room is arranged nicely to take advantage of the space, with comfortable TV watching, reading, or socializing possible. An occasional train briefly rumbles by during the daytime, which adds to the small town ambiance. The Shelburne Country Store is within walking distance for any necessities. The parking spaces behind the unit were easy to access. This is a spot that I will return to!

The loft in the pink house was one of the coziest Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. We loved the classic New Englandy feel of the historic home and old floorboards paired with modern furnishings and an updated kitchen and bathroom. It was very clean, and the heater did an excellent job keeping the apartment warm--not always a case in these older homes, and key during a major Vermont snowstorm! The bed was also super comfy. Shelburne is a lovely town to explore (restaurants, cute general store, etc.), and the pink house is a straight 20-minute shot to Burlington. It couldn't be easier, and Burlington is a great college town with tons to explore, lots of dining options, etc. Janice and Chris sent detailed, easy-to-follow instructions and were responsive to all our questions. They're terrific hosts! The wifi worked great, and the TV was well-stocked with Netflix, Hulu, etc. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

My husband and I had a great time staying in Shelburne. The apartment was cozy, and we loved being walking distance from the local shops and restaurants. Janice was super responsive, friendly, and accommodating as a host. We had a great stay and would go back any time!
